Stars & Stripes

Katrina here to share a patriotic layout today with you.  And what goes better on a patriotic layout than stars?!  I will admit, I had a little trouble when I decided I wanted to use stars on my layout.  This was before I found these pictures that I hadn't scrapped yet.  For some reason, stars are not a go to embellishment for me.  But they are super easy and fun, so they just might have become a staple in my bag of tricks!

The Special Delivery collection is perfect for all those fun July pictures that you will probably be taking tomorrow.  These pictures are of "The Wall That Heals" and I wanted to also do a layout about remembering why we have the freedoms we do.

Loved this map card that is in the collection and I wanted to make sure to work it into my layout in some way.

Just a shot of the journaling.  I am going to tell a little secret on myself.  I messed up on the word emotional.  And since I was writing directly on my background, it just can't be "thrown" away and started over.  I just rewrote the word on a scrap piece of paper and then popped it up.  Then I decided to go ahead and do the name of the exhibit also, just to tie things together.

And a shot of those stars at the top!  Juliana Michaels made a file and was kind enough to let me use it for this layout.  I will have a link to her blog on my personal blog tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a safe and fun 4th.   Please take time and thank a veteran for their service.  It will make their day and yours.
