The Pure Bliss Collection

Hi! It's Kelly here to share a layout using the Pure Bliss Collection by Heather Tozzi.  This collection is full of soft pastel colors...perfect for documenting those baby photos.

One of my favorite things to do on my pages is layering.  So, I picked out all of the elements I wanted to incorporate onto my page, and played around with them until I was satisfied about how they looked.

I then traced around everything lightly with a pencil, and took everything back off. Layer by layer I began to stick things down...trimming, matting, or distressing as I went.

To finish up the look...I topped it off with the title, a sticker, a brad, and scribbled in some journaling.

Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome, Little One

I always say "babies are a blessing" and I mean every word. Making baby cards is the most fun because usually the design, from the papers to the colors, have a very specific requirement: they have to be CUTE!
Today I made a baby boy card using papers from the Pure Bliss Collection. The versatility of this paper pack is just amazing. Depending on what combination of the papers you use, your card can be used to make a wide range of themed cards.
I used a tag sticker from the collection as the starting point for my boy themed card. Paired with the blue patterned paper, which I distressed a bit,  and I was half way there to having a boy themed beauty!  To complete the masculine feel, I added a burlap base. A matching kraft colored banner conveys a simple sentiment to usher in a new bundle of joy.
I love the look of layers on a handmade card, something the store bought cards can never compete with! Supplies: GCD patterned paper: Dizzy Heart (2022), Label Stickers (2033) Other: burlap remnant, Papertrey Ink banner die, stamp Nursery Necessities by Stampin' Up, twine Lawn Fawn Wida Miller Badge photo 2013-DT-Badge-Wida-Miller_zps32a1aa68.jpg

Diamonds are a Fussy Cutter's Best Friend

When I look at patterned paper I am always looking for some way I can cut a part of it out and create a different design with it.  For today's card I did just that with some fun paper from the Pure Bliss Collection.

I fussy cut three rows of the diamonds (being super careful in the middles to keep them attached to one another).  I kept one of them longer than the other two so it could go in the middle.  I popped each diamond up with foam adhesive so it would add some dimension to it.

I also fussy cut the sentiment out, opting to cut off the embroidery hoop part and just using the circle.

The next time you pick up a piece of patterned paper see if you can think beyond the original design and create something surprising with it!

Get out those lace punches

Today I am sharing a layout with you that puts all of those lace punches you have in your stash to good use!  We all have them, some look like doilies others are in the form a boarder punch.

When I think of lace punches I think of a feminine - girly look and this muted floral paper from the Pure Bliss Collection was my first pick to start this layout!  I cut it down to about 10x10 and distressed the edges and then took different boarder punches and randomly punched on all 4 sides.

I used even more lacy punches to created a the thick strip in the middle of my layout.  I topped that off with a few boarded strips form the Pure Bliss collection - these strips are great, so many uses for them and they come in such a variety of patterns and styles.

I just love how this layout turned out!  I never thought of lacy punches with a distressed look but I really love how this turned out!

A Cute Girlie Card

Sugar and spice and everything nice...
need a card for sweet little girl? If so, then look no further than GCD Studios Pure Bliss collection! It is chock full of darling papers, patterns and sweet embellishments! I especially love the yellow in this collection.

Here is a card I made using the Pure Bliss collection:

I started with the colorful floral paper and built the rest of the card around it. I pulled colors from the floral paper to help embellish the card.

I had a blast layering embellishments on this card! When layering, I prefer to use foam tape to give the layers even more dimension. And how about I let you in on a little secret of mine.... when I work with stickers (such as the "Hello" sticker), I add a small piece of cardstock on the back of the sticker which then allows me to add foam tape to the back of the sticker, rather than just adhering the sticker flat on the card. Easy to do, and yet lends a bigger punch to the overall card design.

Supplies: Paper - Pure Bliss collection 6"x6" paper pad: #2031; Embellishments - Pure Bliss collection Element Stickers: #2033; Pure Bliss collection Die Cut Borders: #2036

Howl Are You?

Hello everyone! Nina here today to share a girlie card made with Pure Bliss collection.  I'm in love with this little owl!

Supplies: All patterned paper from Pure Bliss 6x6 pad #2031

One thing I like a lot about Heather's collections is that you can't go wrong. They all look adorable alone or together. I cut the owl pieces out using my digital die cut machine and a pattern I bought online. I used some ivory cardstock for the eyes, sentiment strip and the beak (colored with markers). The little bow cut out from the accents sheet in the 6x6 pad is the cherry on top! Fun and cute!

Thank you for stopping by! Happy Crafting!

Let's get girlie!

If I have to pick a new favorite collection from GCD, this might be it! (Although I think I said that with the last collection I worked with, too! :) )

The pinks and florals in this line really got me in the mood to do something girly, and since my daughter LOVES to dress up all the time, I thought these photos would be perfect!

I started with a pink background and wanted to add some texture. I was inspired by her tulle skirts, so I just bunched up some tulle on the page, glued it in some spots that wouldn't show the glue, and then machine stitched over it in some areas.

I splattered some yellow paint and a bit of grey mist here and there, and also misted my alphas yellow to match.  You will also see a glimmer of some sequins here and there!

I like to balance out my design with something going off the edge of the page somewhere.  Here is a little cluster with paper, a sticker, and a brad.

And what else could be more girly than bows?  I love seeing the paper bow trend popping up on pages now!  I found a free template online and used it to create these little bows, which were very easy to make!

Pink, tulle, sequins, and bows....what could be more girly than that???  :)

A Dreamy Layout

Hi There!  Rochelle here to share with you a truly girlie-girl layout!

Pure Bliss collection had the perfect papers for this photo.  Here my daughter is in her own little world.   The title, "Dream a Little Dream" came from the Pure Bliss Happy Hoops paper and worked well!   I also used different pieces of Pure Bliss scraps to make the lollipop flower. It was simple, I just free hand cut a bunch of different size circles from different papers. I then distressed the edges and crumbled them in my hands.  After that I layered and placed an awesome brad in the center.  The leaves were cut from scraps of the Bows paper. Here's are some close ups:

10 Reasons Why

Hi there friends. Our children takes up the majority of our scrapbook pages. And sometimes it gets a little redundant. I mean, they have yearly birthdays, first day of school, holiday events and everything in between. That’s why with this layout I decided to write a special letter to my daughter to change out things a little bit. This page was actually inspired by the title that I had cut out from a pattern paper in the Pure Bliss collection then I wrote 10 reasons why I wanted my little sweetie to never stop dreaming.

I wanted to make this “letter” to my daughter very personal so I handwritten my journaling.
I dressed up my title circle with epoxy dots and adhered it with foam adhesive to add dimension to it.
Little bits of fun stickers and pins finished off my page.
