I can't help but smile when I see these colors playing so nicely together. Their cheerfulness is infectious, isn't it? While they may be too bright for some, these colors are at the top of my list for a scrapbook room makeover...someday :). In the meantime, I've brought this palette to a scrapbook page:
Summer doesn't have to be upon us long before we are stocking the freezer with popsicles. This sticky, sweet summer treat is my boys' favorite. For this layout, I chose to bring the bright hues together in small doses, so as not to overpower my page. Simple strips cut into pennant shapes and stacked next to each other were the perfect backdrop for embellishment clusters and my photo.
Aren't these frames from the Funhouse collection fabulous? I love the designs, and of course, the colors. I filled two with patterned paper and one with my date. And these bottlecaps from The Great Outdoors collection? Pure retro bliss!
To emphasize my "sticky sweet" sentiment, I used glimmery watercolors to "stamp" circles of color in just the right places. The puddles of yellow, blue and red reminded me of my boys' chins after their popsicles were long gone.
Since a scrapbook room redo is not in the cards at the moment, I satisfied my craving for these luscious colors by making myself a little home decor. Front door decor to be exact:
My yarn wreath makes me happy. And has me craving popsicles. I hope you are inspired to give a bright color combination a go - the results will likely leave you smiling. Happy scrapping!

It is a great color combo and I love the caps. I've saved some of hubby's beer caps because they have great graphics on them. One has Coney Island, another is Beck, which will go perfect with a lo about his dad. It was his favorite beer when he was alive. Great colors with very clean los. :)
