Colorful Wedding Layout

Who said you can't have a bright wedding layout?!

I love that Brenda and Nancy thought to use bright colors, while creating a wedding layout. It shows the personality of the couple and the "fun day" you had, helping celebrate.

Gift Boxes + Wedding Layout= Amber Scurlock

Here is another fun idea for wedding favors, but this time our Altered Gal Amber, is knocking our socks off :)

Favor #1 (Flower Box)
For this favor, I bought a box of Wilton favor boxes in white (50 for $10...with a 50% off coupon!) I took two of the page strips (included in the Paris Nights Collection pad) and layered them around the favor box. With some of my leftover patterned paper scraps, I hand cut several circles, crinkled, and layered them. I "adhered" them with a brad and glued it to the top of my box.

Supplies Used:
Patterned Paper: # 474 Saint Martin, # 467 Chapelle
Die-Cut Page Strips: # 472 Notre Dame
Other: White Favor Boxes (Wilton), Brad (American Crafts), Vintage Black Lace

Favor #2 (White Window Bag)
For this favor, I embellished a simple white bag-shaped container with a plastic window. I topped the bag with a scalloped piece of GCD Studios patterned paper and added a stamped sentiment on white cardstock. I finished it off with a few adhered butterflies and voila!

Supplies Used:
Patterned Paper: # 474 Saint Martin, # 468 d'Orsay
Other: White Window Bag (Martha Stewart), Scallop Punch (Martha Stewart), Stamps (Inkadinkado)

Favor #3 (Pillowbox)
For this pillowbox favor, I picked up a bag of 24 pillow boxes at the Dollar Tree (for $1). I scalloped punched a piece of GCD Studios paper, and added a simple "thanks" stamp, a couple punched butterflies and a snippet of tulle. Really cheap and it packs a great punch!

Supplies Used:
Patterned Paper: # 474 Saint Martin, # 468 d'Orsay
Other: Pillowbox (DollarTree), Tulle, Scallop Punch (Martha Stewart), Stamp (Inkadinkado)

Keepsake Box with Grace T

Wedding Memories Mini Album and Keepsake Box

When I think of weddings, I think of great memories waiting to be preserved and that's why it lead me to make a mini book where details and feelings are preserved. Plus a keepsake box where mementos and little details can be saved.

Wedding Keepsake box featuring Paris Nights line
For the keepsake box:
I altered a military box. I liked that it was sturdy enough to hold even the heaviest of items and deep enough to fit my mini book, a couple of pens and some little wedding things.Plus it has a magnetic close. Fun!When I'm altering a box, I always cut out my papers to size first. I lay them out and adhere them all at once. This way I only have to deal with my sticky, messy (but great) Mod Podge adhesive one time. After adhering all the gorgeous Paris Nights flocked paper, I adhered some ribbon on the edges, added a layered flower on top, glittered sticker and chipboard shapes.
I also altered a couple of pens to match the book. I figured two pens would be perfect so that the couple can answer the questions together as a fun "couple" activity.
Wedding memories minibook (featuring Canta line)
This one was inspired by a sticker sheet that I got from Rusty Pickle. It was a group of questions that jump start your journaling. The questions ranges from how did you meet your partner to describe your wedding cake and gown. I loved the idea of compiling them to a minibook with a lot of empty spaces so that the recipient had a lot of room to fill in the journaling.

I used the glittered paper from the Canta line (another great GCD studios line) for the front and back of the book and some more Canta papers inside the album. I made a custom book and binded it with the bind it all machine.

Grace Castillo

My BIO:
Heya :) I'm Grace Castillo, California resident, married to my college sweetheart for 14 years, and momma to 3 boys & 1 girl. They are definitely the main reason why I love to scrapbook, but ever since I could remember, I've always been drawn to arts & crafts which inspired me to pursue Art, Fashion Design, as well as Graphics Design & Advertising back in college. I taught myself web design, digital graphics, and often dabble in amateur photography. Scrapbooking enables me to truly merge all my interests through this medium and that's another reason why I'm hooked! Thank you for having me as a Product Tester. It was fun and was such an honor!

Grace's REVIEW:
GCD Studios really does live up to making luxurious products affordable and it is truly evident with the Paris Nights collection. I first came upon this line while shopping online and was very attracted to the sophisticated designs which could be used for various types of projects, as well as themes, but it wasn't until I've had the honor of testing these products. I was absolutely thrilled to find out that not only are they gorgeous, but they have such a wonderful texture and shimmer to them too! The chipboards are sturdy, the alphabet stickers are glittered, and they even come with flocked papers, scalloped paper strips, plus a thick transparent sheet! You cannot go wrong no matter what occasion or special event you have in mind, be it a wedding, graduation, an anniversary... the list goes on and on and even if you want to create a beautiful keepsake to treasure for years to come, because this line is absolutely very elegant, classic, and timeless.

Love Memory Box

This beautiful memory box was created by our dear Lori Roop!
Most of us have beautiful love letters and things we want to remember about our wedding day.

I love this idea of Lori's, because it gives you a special place to put your love notes, your garter, dried flowers, something old, something new, something blue, You wedding invite and anything else you'll want to hold onto.
A special box like this will not only help pressure your treasured memories, but will also look beautiful sitting on a table.

Wedding Week + Wednesday's Winner- Sue Fields

Like most girls... I'm a sucker for a beautiful wedding! oh yes I am!

Being that June is a BIG wedding month (for most people/women), I decided we should celebrate it this and next week.

First up, this super cute card by our Guest design Artist Kim Hughes. I love how she thought to cut our scallop circle paper (from the Canta collection) and added these hand cut out birds (from our margarita collection).

Wouldn't this card be great as a gift card?! It's perfect for a spring wedding, because of the bright colors. I LOOOVE IT!

Also don't forget about this idea. This idea came from Grace Tolman our DT Gal, (back around mothers day). These would be beautiful on a reception dinner table or as a gift. Grace used our Pairs Nights Transparency

Make sure you came back all this week and next, to see more wedding ideas

Spot Light Regina Jones

Sorry I didn't post anything on Monday! It was such a busy day getting paper work done, that I had to push the blog to the bottom of my list.

Please welcome our Spot Light gal
Regina Jones

Bio:
Hi, I am Regina Jones and I live in south Alabama with my wonderful husband Nick, and our son Patrick. They are the inspiration for most of my layouts and mini albums. I have been scrapping on and off since high school, but I haven't turned back since the birth of my son in 2003. That is when I really got hooked. I love the entire process of creating. I love all of the elements, from the smell of the papers, to the smallest embellishment. Very rarely a page feels complete without ink, paint or stickles. It is my creative outlet, my stress relief and my "me" time. I try and create a little everyday. If I don't I feel lost. And I love that my craft will preserve all of our memories, from the smallest to the largest, for generations to come. It is something I wish I had after my parents passed away. There is so much that I don't know about them and I don't want my son to have those feelings. I am lucky to be on several design teams so I get to share my passion with others.

Heidi's thoughts:
I love all the texture that Regina added to her page. Great layering and a very fun photo!
