Mini Egg Baskets

I love waking up Easter Morning and making a large breakfast for my family. I also love to decorate the table and each place setting. This year, I plan to decorate each place setting with these "Mini Egg Baskets".

What you'll need
-1 small ice cream bowl
-1 small circle (Smaller than the bowl)
-1 piece of pattern paper
-1 pencil

Trace the ice cream bowl and then the 'smaller circle' inside with your pencil. Once You've traced it, cut out.

Once it's cut out, start to roll it in and glue the sides to each other.

Once you're all done, you can decorate it. I used this cute butterfly punch by Martha Stewart.
This is a simple project that will make your breakfast guest feel special.

Please WELCOME- Beatriz Jennings- Our 4th Card Gal

Bio:
My name is Beatriz Jennings (Bety) I'm an Interior Designer. I am from Mexico, but I now live in the USA, with my husband and our son. I fell in love with scrapbooking when I was looking through a magazine and saw all of the beautiful things that you can do with paper. Right now I'm in love with card making and altered art. I have been scrapbooking for 3 years and I love to use ribbon, buttons, and flowers on most of my creations. I don't know how to describe my style, but some people say that is a little bit romantic, feminine, and even shabby. Some of my work has been published in magazines like Handmade (formerly Paper Trends), Scrapbook Trends, Cards, Paper Crafts, Scrapbook and Cards Today and Cardmaker magazine to list a few. I have also had projects published in idea books and had tutorials and projects published online on scrapbooking/papercrafting sites and some e zines.

Welcome Estee Stone- Our 7th Scrappy Gal

Bio:
My name is Estee Stone. I am a mom to three very silly children who keep me on my toes. I hate folding laundry and I love mint chocolate chip ice cream. I am a terrible left turn maker and I rock at baking cookies. I started scrapbooking after my son was born. One frantic 3AM Google search for "where do I put all of these photos!?!" turned into a love for patterned paper and buttons. My style changes, but I tend to gravitate towards straight lines and bright colors. I am so very excited to be a part of this team and I can't wait to meet new people to share this amazing hobby with!

Welcome our 6th Scrappy Gal- Lynn Ghahary

Bio:
My name is Lynn Ghahary and I live in Northwest New Jersey with my husband and high school sweetheart Salar and our two wild and crazy boys Darian (age 4.5) and Brandon (age 3). I was first introduced to the wonderful world of scrapbooking by my sister way back in 2000. As a young girl I had always loved to be artsy and creative so this hobby was right up my alley and I was hooked immediately! To say I'm addicted to scrapbooking is an understatement. Scrapbooking is my creative outlet - it allows me to get in touch with who I am and my goals and dreams for myself and my family, all while preserving our most cherished family photos and memories. I also love to stamp, especially on my layouts, sew with my handy dandy sewing machine or by hand (but only on my paper projects LOL), as well as make cards and other crafty creations. I'm a self-proclaimed organizing diva and reality TV junkie too!

GIVE AWAY #4 ... YOU GET TO PICK!

What does this mean????
This MEANS....
You leave a comment and if you are picked
you'll get to pick out 3 embellishments
from our many...many embellishments list.

You'll get to pick your favorite 3!

Welcome Krista Resnick our 3rd Card gal

Bio:
Hello!!! My name is Krista Resnick and I live in NorthWestern Wisconsin. I am a mama to 3 highly energetic boys and a wife to one super supportive, incredibly wonderful man. I began scrapbooking almost 5 years ago when my good friend invited me to a home party. I can remember telling her that I didn't scrapbook and had no interest, but that I would come anyway, just to get out of the house for a bit. As I began to look at the products and pages I couldn't help thinking-"why aren't I scrapbooking?" And that is how it all began. I love to tell our "families' stories", the things we do, the hobbies we love, the traditions we have, funny things that happen, celebrations, and even heartaches. Scrapbooking is a way for me to express my love for my husband, children, grandparents, extended family and friends. All of these important things and people are the subjects of my pages. About 5 months ago, my papercrafting took a turn and I began to create cards. I am seriousely hooked!!!!! I LOVE creating cards for someone particular in mind. I always hope that when they open their card, the love and appreciation that I feel for that person comes through. For the past year I have busied myself as a designer at my LSS (well, it's really not so local, it's an hour away-I live in a pretty small town) and recently I accepted a position on My Sketch World design team. It's an online site that was created to inspire scrappers and cardmakers through sketches (which I am totally addicted to).I don't really feel as though I have a set "scrapbooking style." Sometimes my papercrafting is clean and simple and other times it is messy and really all over the place. It depends on what is inspiring me at the moment. I love glitter, patterened paper, buttons, ribbon, stamps and chipboard. I love anything red, blue, lime green, cream, black and yellow. I am also hopelessy addicted to sketches-I hoard them in a BIG binder that is constantly growing. When I am not spending my time papercrafting or chasing children I love to exercise, bake, cook, read or browse the internet for inspiration. I love Diet Pepsi with lime, a good bowl of pasta, late afternoon showers, dark chocolate, a hot cup of coffee, and a cozy pair of pajamas. I am totally thrilled to have this opportunity to design for GCD. Their products are amazing!!!! I seriousely love each collection. It is my hope that I can inspire others through my work as I am constantly inspired by other papercrafters and the world around me

Please Welcome our 5th Scrappy Gal- Sherry Steveson

Bio:
Sherry Steveson has been passionate about scrapbooking for over ten years. Finding a hobby that merged her love for photography with her gift of writing, all wrapped up in a creative outlet was the catalyst for a life long devotion. Her work has been published in many of the major scrapbook magazines and idea books and always brings a thrill to her family when they see their faces on the pages of those publications, and she is the author of When Life Gives You Lemons and the soon to be released The Scrapbook Embellishment Handbook (Memory Makers Books). She has also found her calling in the world of teaching scrapbooking to others. Sherry currently maintains a blog at https://mail.gcdstudios.com/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://www.sherrysteveson.typepad.com/ . When she isn’t writing, scrapbooking or teaching, she has a very full schedule with her three children and husband’s landscape business and training to run a marathon.

Welcome Our 2nd Altered gal: Amber Scurlock

Bio:
I’m a newly married (and loving it!) senior in college, majoring in Accounting. I love all creative processes, but I especially love making cute gifts, scrapbooking and card-making. Some of my favorite things to do include keeping my two sweet nieces, reading, and taking naps. =) I secretly wish that I was a master chef with delightfully delicious original recipes and that calories didn’t matter! I have a strong faith in Jesus Christ and love teaching, helping and being a part of my local church. To see more of my life and creative happenings, check out my blog!

Welcome Card gal #2- Jenyfur Pohl

Bio:
Hello! My name is Jenyfur! I'm a scrapbooker. :) Documenting the daily happenings of my family has become a very fulfilling and creative mission for me. I've dabbled in different crafts in the past, trying to keep up with my creatively-gifted sisters, but never found anything that just 'stuck' and made me happy like scrapbooking. My primary passion has become card making. I still bust out layouts like mad, but I really enjoy the small canvas of a card with endless possibilities. Although my son hasn't discovered his crafty side, my two little girls are as into this as I am! I live in Northern California with my husband and our previously mentioned three little ones. We have a hectic-fun house with paper projects always in process. My craft room is a wonderful place to be...the walls are covered with kid artwork, shallow shelves of rubber stamps, baskets of glitter and paper flowers, and it smells like ink. I love it. And I love this hobby.

Welcome Card Gal- Lori Roop

Moving over to the cards... WE WELCOME Lori Roop!

When I started paper crafting, I never dreamed it would evolve into something that would grant me an opportunity like this...... I am so honored to be joining the g.c.d Studios team! I can't wait to complete my first card with g.c.d Studios products!! I'm also, excited to be working with Heidi!! In the short time I've known her. She's been such and inspiration to me!!
In 1999 I started out scrapbooking. I had a new baby and was enthralled with preserving all the milestones of my first child! I scrapbooked for several years until I stumbled upon card making in 2006. I instantly fell in love with cardmaking and rarely scrapbook anymore.
I'm a happy SAHM to four munchkins ages 3-10. I'm blessed with three girls and one boy. We also have a sweet 2 yr. old boxer named Duke. I married the love of my life almost 15 years ago. He is a wonderful fan and supporter (well.....most of the time) of my "hobby". Without him being so understanding. I would've never made it this far.
Southern Ohio is where I call home. My husband and I moved to Ohio from Arizona after we were married for a couple years. I've never regretted the move!! I love the hills, fields and valleys.
Getting to "meet" so many new people is a plus for me! I enjoy making new friends and being inspired by others!! Here's to 6 fun and exciting months with all of you and g.c.d Studios!!

Altered Gal- Grace Tolman

You've seen 3 of our scrappy gals, I thought I'd switch over to our Altered gals for a minute :) We are over joyed to have Grace Tolman join our team.

What made Grace stand out?
At this past Winters CHA 09 we had a make and take. Grace used the card from our make and take and turned it into a mini album! WAY TO GO GRACE!
Bio:
My life in a nutshell: During the day I stay at home with my kids, a 5 year old son and an almost 3 year old daughter. Our days are filled with school, trips to the library, park days and sometimes when they're good a trip to Burger King or McDonalds. At night I work part time as a Retail Associate at Aeropostale. A hip, fun clothing store that I constantly use as a great source of inspiration for my paper projects. I have a loving and very supportive husband of 6 years. He's supported me all the way in this addiction I call "scrapbooking".Although I’ve been doing some type of scrapbooking since grade school, I only started to scrapbook seriously after my son was born. When he was born I knew I will be staying at home with him but coming from a fast paced sales job I was afraid I would ran out of things to do during the day. Little did I know that with a newborn you won’t have anytime to do anything else. Anyways after going through a basic scrapbooking class I was hooked and haven’t stopped scrapping since. I consider my style to be simple, linear and graphic but I'm not afraid to try new things. I love to tell the story behind each picture.I'm so excited to be a part of this great company and team. I love all the bright colors and designs GCD has to offer and can't wait to start altering everything "under the sun" with their products.

Our new Product testers!

What is a Product tester?

Each of these girls will be mailed out a box to.... TEST our products. When they are done I'll share their work here, on the blog and place it in our gallery.

Welcome #3- Angie Hagist

Bio:
Hi! My name is Angie Hagist. I am so thrilled to be a member of the GSD Studios design team!! I am a mom to two little red-headed girls...and wife to a wonderful husband. I have been crafting for years, but didn't find my true passions until I started paper crafting...since then, I've been lucky to have had my projects published in many of the industry's top magazines and books. I would call my style 'clean & approachable' because I enjoy making projects that are not only fun, but simple enough for scrappers of all levels to be able to re-create easily. In addition to crafting, my husband and I run our own family business together in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.
