  2. I have only packed up to move 3 times in my adult life (7 in my lifetime, but the first time we moved I was 3. . .so I don't think I packed much :-)

    ReplyDelete
  3. I've packed up and moved 8 times so I completely understand how you are feeling. Good luck !!

  4. moving is not fun, I agree.
Since leaving my parents I have moved 3 times - everytime I was going to purge ....
    LOL - never happened!

  5. Let me see.....7 times ....and of those we packed up and moved twice in a 4 month period.... we were waiting for our home to be completed so we were in an apartment. Good Luck!

  6. At last count it was 15 times I think?? One year I moved 3 times. But I can actually pack up my entire place in just 2 days if needed. so I understand the frustrations. Just remember to label clearly and keep a box of essentials (to get you thorugh the first 2 days) with you when you move, that way you won't be looking through a ton of boxes to find that one box.

  7. I have moved about 2 times and the last time was a real pain as I have accumulated so much stuff, not looking forward to moving anywhere now, especially when I have lots of scrapbooking stuff. Do not wish to lose any of my precious loots during moving.
    Good Luck! :)

  8. I have only moved once...and it kind of doesnt count b/c I left the majority of my stuff at my parents house. However I am moving for real next month so it will be 2x.

  9. Moving is definitely NOT fun. Since I got married, we have moved 7 times (we have been married 7 years now), we have lived in 3 states and are currently living in a territory (Virgin Islands)

    ReplyDelete
  10. I think I've moved 10 times...but only moved in to 2 different states!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I can't stand moving! In the past 10 years, we have packed to move 7 times. Hopefully we will be here for a long time- or maybe the next time we move we will hire movers to move us.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Since I have been married, which is 27 years, it has only been 3 times so I have lots to purge out of this house (been here 15 years). Now when I was younger, I believe we moved every year when we were in apartments.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I'll really have to think about this one...I think as a kid I moved 7 times until high school, after marrying we've moved about 7 times, with a couple in there during college years. I'm going to say around 17 times I guess. It's never fun, for sure!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Since My husband and I have been together, we've packed it up 3 times, but pre marriage 13 times

    ReplyDelete
  15. Holy cow....15 times.
Didn't realize it was that many.

Hope the rest of the move goes smoothly.

  16. no packing is soo not fun to do.. we have moved out of state, up stairs and downstairs. I've moved away from school, once growing up, and overseas for a period in my life, and a breif out of state 4 months period.. WOW..
so far married we moved 3 times, growin up once, and college time 5 times..
    good luck with your move!!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I think I counted 8 times... sadly enough 7 of those times was in a 10 year period.... LOL :D

    ReplyDelete
  18. we just moved again last weekend. it was the 12th time since getting married 10 years ago. ahhhhh!!!!! we'll be moving again in 8 months to our first home. i can't wait!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. including as a kid, I have only moved 4 times

    ReplyDelete
  20. Moving is the pits! I have moved 10 times in my life and it seems that with each move it became more difficult and time consuming. We accumulate so much over the years. The worst was moving my stamping/scrapping supplies....it is unbelievable how much stuff I had. We will likely more at least one more time (into my dream home someday) and then hopefully no more. Hope the move goes well. Thanks for the giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I believe when I sat down and counted it was about 12 times. Our biggest move from Ontario to BC last fall!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Wow, how many times have I moved?
If my memory serves me right, at least 15 times and could be more. Good luck on your move....

    ReplyDelete
  25. lets see if i can remember that far back: i am thinking around 6 times

    ReplyDelete
  26. 10 times. It could be worse... good luck with the move!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I have only moved 4 times and that was enough for me! Good luck with the move.

    ReplyDelete
  28. OMGosh, I am packing up too... SO not fun!! This is the 2nd time in a year that we have had to move... and we'll be moving again probably within the next year again! Good Luck with the move!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. not including all the different places I lived in college, I've moved 9 times. Good luck with your move.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hmmm let me see if I can....
One from NY to FL... then again in FL (2), then again in FL (3) then again in FL (4) then again in FL (5), then to CA (6) and again in CA (7) then to OR (8) and finally to WA (9). So it looks like 9 so far, but I know that there will be at least one more! And no, not military in any way!

  34. If you count my college days it is 8 moves. I you don't count college, it's been 4 times. 3 times with my parents and once to move into the house my hubby and I bought just before we were married!

    Good luck with your move!

    ReplyDelete
  35. In 16-years we've only moved once . . . after that one time I vowed it would be a very long time before we ever did that again! :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Counting the moves to/from college for four years, that makes a total of 13! Good luck on the move, and thanks for the chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I moved a total of 10 times - the worst was moving in my husbands grandparents home because I had to put everything in storage because there was no room.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Probably 5 times, not counting moves during my schooling.

    ReplyDelete
  39. As a grown up I've moved 5 times. This past time, we moved on the first day of school - it was INSANE!!! The kids left from one house and came home to another.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Since I live in a college dorm, in the recent years I've packed up and moved twice a year. It's a lot of work but easier than a whole house!

    ReplyDelete
  41. well i am a traveling scrub nurse , so that means that we do assignments that can be as short as 13 weeks! I do this traveling thing with my family , so everytime we are sent on a new assignment, we pack up and move all of our belongings to the new place!
we do have it down to a science though, but its still incredibly frustating and stressful!
we have moved so many times I am not sure that I could count them all but lets see,,,
    ncx4 places,sc,ncx2 places,sc,nc,ga,fl,va,tx,sc,fl,pa,ma,fl
anyway, i completely understand! my one peice of advice is to keep a box with you that has basics such as clean towls, TP,shower essentials, coffee pot,(cups)change of clothing for everyone and alarm clock,, stuff that you will need before you completely unpack,, and label every box!
good luck on your move amd thanks for the opportunity to win some of your FAB products!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Moving!! OH NO!! We are looking for a house as we speak! We have moved a few times....from Florida to Oklahoma City was the longest. It's tough. Makes you want to throw everything away and start over!! LOL! :) Thanks for the chance to win such great papers!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Total of 11 x's... I think!!

Good luck will your move! :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. More then once is way to much! I think we have moved...1, 2, 3, 4 times now. Yuck!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I moved a bunch back and forth all through college, but then I had 2 big moves (across the country and to a new state) after that.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I moved out for the 1st time when I was 18!

Then from there I moved 5 other times and most of them were with ROOMMATES gone BAD!

My studio apartment when I landed it in 98 I got on my knees and prayed thank you thank you for my own place again and God please let me live her longer than a year!

5 years later I moved where I am now and have been for 6 years next month. So that makes 7 total. I have to unpack EVERYTHING the same day before I sleep. An OCD of mine going from a studio to 2 bds a big packing ordeal.

Now I am praying for this new house to come through and that will make it the 8th which should last me 30 great years I pray!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Good luck with your move :) I've moved 4 times in my adult life, 10 times total in my whole life. Moving is no picnic! But I love decorating a new house!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  52. At last count I think it was 14 times. But we have no plans to move in the future (hooray!). Good luck with your move.

    ReplyDelete
  53. As an adult I believe I have moved only three times. It's much easier to move when you are a child and your parents do all of the work. Hopefully we are in this house for a long, long time.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I can't even begin to count. When I was in my 20's I probably moved 10-15 times. We've lived in our current house for 15 years and I don't want to move -- way too much accumulated junk.

    ReplyDelete
  55. During college life were 4 times; since got married 11 years ago have been 2 times...still have some unopened boxes and planning to move again! Good luck there!!!

    ReplyDelete
  56. hm, I've counted all the times, I had been moved.....since I left my parents house after school (I'm 25 now), I have moved 10 times! And every time was with ALL my stuff, clothes, books etc. That was not so fun))

    ReplyDelete
  57. I hate moving! Good luck with it. Counting the first time I moved out of my parents house, I've moved 9 times. That's since 1998.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Sunny Days! Terrific! Winning makes my day Sunny! I have had to move 8 times since I left home...most of it following my husband's job around the country. Now I'm in Seattle and lovin' it!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Thank you for the chance to win!
P.S. Good luck with the moving... I've done it twice in the last couple of years (one moving back from Germany... not fun!)

    ReplyDelete
  60. I have packed and move 7 times....it is lots of work!!
I ave helped pack up and move lots of friends and family over the years....that isn't very much fun either.
Good Luck with your move. :)

    ReplyDelete
  61. Being a military wife, we look at moving as an opportunity to TOSS JUNK!! :-) Although, I'm ready to move now!! LOL While it's a lot of work, you get to start fresh in the new place and anything you don't need, give away to someone who can use it! (pay it forward!)

    ReplyDelete
  62. hmmm well I did 5 moves into college, 3 moves into co-op {paid internship my college required for my program}, 2 moves out of co-ops, and 1 move as an Army wife... so I guess that's 11! :)

    ReplyDelete
  63. I've only moved once but that was when I was a baby so I can't remember any of it. I can't believe so many people have had to move more than 10 times!

    ReplyDelete
  64. One too many times for me. I'm currently in the middle of a move. I hate packing & unpacking. I'd much rather be scrapping.

    Good luck with your trip!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Twice. :) I hate moving. I hope to stay in our house now all my life.

    ReplyDelete
  66. good luck on the move!!!

  67. As the daughter of a military man, I think my childhood total was 7 times in 18 years-then as a grownup, 5 times before I built my house...I've called 6420 "HOME" for 15 years now!

    ReplyDelete
  68. I have moved 4 times in my life. Last time was a year ago, so the pain is still fresh in my memory. Best wishes to you! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  69. How many times? First to college, home, to Argentina for a mission, across 6 cities in Argentina, then back home, then married, and then to this house (which we're still kind of moving into and unpacking!) UGH! 12 or so times?! Good luck!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Oh my, I think I've packed up and moved house about five times in my lifetime so far. Not easy and I totally hate doing so! Good luck on your move!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Too many times i'm afraid! As a child, after my father died, as a teenager when my new dad changed his job, as a student from a little room to a better place (couple of times), when i got married, when my husband and i changed jobs and last year we bought a house. But this is the place we are gonna live in for the rest of our lives!!! Ha ha! I'ts an 30's, old dutch house and we love it! Be blessed!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Let's see... that requires some thought........ well, in times where I was old enough to have to help, 6 times. And way too recently. All 6 in the last 4 years.

    ReplyDelete
  73. A total of six times. the first when I was wee three years old, 2nd time when I was a teenager; 3rd time was when i got married to my hub's rented apartment; 4th time when we had to moved back to my parents when the lease expired and our new place was renovated; 5th time was to our matrimonial home, and the 6th was back to my in-law's place in hub's hometown.

I am very looking forward to the next move, which will be my 7th move, hopefully end of next year to our own place!

    ReplyDelete
  74. I've moved 9 time since I have been married. There were a lot of moves the first few years and I had it down to a science. Stopped wrapping dishes and things in newspaper (too messy and it comes off on everything in FL) I use my dish towels and regular towels around all my glassware and dishes. You're packing 2 things at once and then you don't have to wash all your dishes and things when unpacking and if you want to you have your dishtowels right there in the same box. :) Just a tip most of you probably already know.

  75. Ohhhhhhhhhh - the "M" word. Not a fun thing, trust me! I've moved a lot and I'm not even an Army brat. Moved from rental home to a two-room remodeled chicken coop when I was five. Moved to Florida when I was 11 but we hated it there and we moved back to the coop in Pennsylvania after only three months in Florida. Then from the coop to our first owned home in Ohio a year later. Lived in that home until I married and moved into an apartment. Two years later, we bought our own home and moved into it. When I decided to move out 20-some years later, I moved into my own itty-bitty apartment and lived there for a couple of years. Moved in with my friend just down the street from that apartment. After he died I bought that condo and lived there for three or four years. Got married again, and a year later, we moved into an apartment in Texas. Four months later we bought a home just down the street and moved into it. After three years we moved to Kentucky for two years and then moved to Ohio for five years and then moved to New Mexico for nine months and now we've been back in Texas for nearly five years. Were you counting? I was and I've moved 14 times and something tells me we're not done yet. Just yesterday, hubby said "Prescott, Arizona, seems like a nice retirement community ..." Ohhhhhhhhhh - the "M" word again.

  76. We've moved 8 times. It is a traumatic thing to do that's for sure. We've been in our present home 25 yrs. and I can't even begin to think about moving everything we've accumulated in these years. Yikes!

  80. it looks like i have moved 17 times. when i was little, and my mom and dad packed us, we could have cared less. but, when i got older and had to pack my own stuffs...no fun at all. the most traumatic move was when we moved from a 3-bedroom with a full basement cape cod in ohio to a 1-bedroom farm house with no basement or garage in rural north carolina. we left alot of stuff for our friend to have a sale, and we still brought too much with us. we got a storage unit, then had a yard sale, got out of the storage unit, and there is still too much. so, another yard sale is in our future. the best of luck to you! i guess i feel a little talkative...

    ReplyDelete
  81. I have moved way too many!!! The long distance moves are the worst though...I moved from Texas to Delaware, Delaware to Florida, Florida to Ohio, Ohio to West Virginia, West Virginia to Louisiana, Louisiana to Texas and finally Texas back to West Virginia!!! And hubby is talking about moving out west to Wyoming....ughhhhh...

    ReplyDelete
  82. 13 and I don't care to do it again!! EVER!!!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Once is too many! But would love to help move some of your boxes filled with goodies to my home!

    ReplyDelete
  84. In my adult life I have moved 6 times. One to another state. Actulally that was the easiest move. My hubby's company paid to move us. They did all the work except the cleaning. I had to leave the house the way I would want it if I was moving in. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  85. Probably about 12 times! but its been over 20 years since the last move. . .

    ReplyDelete
  86. I have moved five times. The worst move brought us 18 hours from all our family and friends. Big adjustment and lonely holidays but we are survivors! Moving on a positive note does help in the reduction of all that clutter! Good Luck!

i am a professional packer and mover...ppl call me for advice, LOL!

  89. I have never seen this paper anywhere. Would love to have some creative fun with it if I win. :) In my lifetime I have packed up and moved at least 20 times. It is not fun unless you make it fun and are moving in nice sunny but cool weather. I have moved in a storm storm and when it was raining. Best Wishes and try to have fun.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I have only moved once since I've been married (32 years)- moved several times as a kid and the trauma was too much trying to work out what to take and what to chuck. I helped my parents move and the packing was horrendous so decided then that I'm here for the duration- otherwise I would have to throw some of my craft stash away aaaahhhhhh.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I have only moved 3 times in my life but it was painful each time....I always realize I have WAY to much stuff! I think we still have boxes in the basement that we never bothered to unpack from the last move 5 years ago. I have no clue what the boxes contain, almost like Christmas opening them.

    ReplyDelete
  92. During our first year in the Army we had to move 9 times -- in one year!!! Since then we have moved ONE time in 30 years! If I had to move no one would help me because I've collected so much junk!!

    ReplyDelete
  93. I've moved 6 times. The first 5 times I had just a suitcase ... then I got married, got a house, got some kids, and got lots of stuff ... I'm never moving again!!

    ReplyDelete
  94. Oy,lets see once a year for 4 years, the 5 more times since, so 9. each time made me never want o move again!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Ooooh packing up to move from my uni accomodations was bad enough, but I've only really moved properly just the once. I don't envy you...

    ReplyDelete
  96. We're military, so a lot! Total in my lifetime has to be 10 now. Whew, makes me tired just counting all the moves!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Moving is the hardest work ever!!!
I have packed and moved about 7 times in my life... and hopefully will not have to do it until my kids pack up and go away to college so that will be awhile!! lol

Once its done and you are settled in the new place the job and relief is amazing!!!
    Good luck!

  100. i don't envy you! I think I've moved about 9 times that I can remember. too many!

    ReplyDelete
  101. As a child, once.
As an adult, four times. :)

    ReplyDelete
  102. I know how that feels, having done so not too long ago....For me, it's three times and still counting!

    ReplyDelete
  103. ugh. too many. as a child, i moved once. then in college, 3 times. as a married adult, i have moved 4 times. and we've been married almost 5 years. yes, that's too many times.

    ReplyDelete
  104. i dont think my first post showed up so trying again. but I have moved tooo many times to count even as a child due to seperated parents. Move from Philippine to the States. Then moved around from family to family. and now married to a military man and moved 7 times and weve been married 12 years. Yikes!

  105. About 11 times? But half of those times was back and forth between home and university :)

    ReplyDelete
  106. I have only moved 3 times.... I am glad b/c I dont like the whole packing thing...

    ReplyDelete
  107. I've moved only 3 times but I dreaded those times because it was too hard. And the hardest part was how to let go of some stuff that has sentimental value to me but I had to let them go because of space limitations! I hear ya but once it's over you'll be glad you did! :)

    ReplyDelete
  108. We moved around a lot when the kids were very small ... apartment to apartment, city to city, state to state ... all in all about 12 times. And it NEVER gets any easier. We did manage the last time to stay in one place for over 20 years, but you definitely tend to accummulate things when in one spot for too long.

    ReplyDelete
  109. 8 or 9 times, but mainly one big one when I finally had furniture to move.

    ReplyDelete
  110. let me see.. once I pack for my study, once then i pack when i went to stay with my sister, then to my another sister, then when i got married, and then when i moved back to my mom's place. and next will be to my new house!
    Thanks for asking.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I think ive been packing my stuff down 5 times. (and 5 times up, so 10 hehe) And i just hate it, mostly the scrapbooking stuff, that takes so long time.
