Spot light Patricia Komara
Bio:
Hi everyone! My name is Patricia Komara (Patty). I started scrapbooking in the fall of 2006. I really enjoy the process of creating and I love to give handmade cards and keepsakes to family and friends that document the big and small moments in our lives. My artistic background includes formal training in watercolor, pencil sketching, 3-D design, book binding, graphic design, and design theory. My day job is director of a group that specializes in providing master planning, urban planning and landscape architecture services to Federal clients. I've been using Adobe products for over 15 years (Yikes!) and I can often be found doing the hybrid thing. I am very excited about being featured here at GCD Studios, I sincerely hope that my work can give you some inspiration when you need it!

Keep it clean
Here is another layout that I created. You can see that I also used a small piece of this pattern paper.
Tips and Tricks:
Sometimes you'll come across pattern paper that you really love, but it also might over power your photos. What I like to do is use a small piece of it (like Angie and I both did in these layouts). This way it makes the layout pop without over taking the look. A fun and busy pattern used right, can finish the layout nicely.

Spot light- Kristin Faust
Kristin lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and four year old son.
Kristin scrapbooks to document all of the little things and stories that she doesn't want her heart to forget. "I always try to think about what I would want my family to know if I'm not here tomorrow. My family won't care if my page was published but will care if the journaling is meaningful and heartfelt."
You can find Kristin's work in upcoming issues of Scrapbook Trends and Creating Keepsakes.
I love how eye catching this layout is! I love the blues and I love these photos. I also thought it was smart that she layered the rub-on over the photo! Very cute page!!!! Great Job Kristin

Mothers Day Celebration- Lynn Ghahary
When I saw this photo of Lynn and her mother, it was so obvious they are mother and daughter :) They look so much alike. What beautiful women they are!
Lynn Said:
There is so much I can say about my mom but to sum it up she is, in one word, AMAZING. She has been there for me through everything - the good times and, well, the not so good times. She is one of the most caring people I know and is always putting others ahead of herself. She is the first person I call when I've got something on my mind and she is always there to listen. Thank you for always being there - I love you Mom!
