Bio-

Hi, My name is Kristen Swain, aka scrapinkris, or please feel free to just call me Kris. I live in Maryland with my husband of almost 15 years, our two daughters and our various furry friends. I have been scrapping for going on 12 years now, wow! Has it really been that long? I have been published in many of the leading scrapbook and craft magazines, and have been part of several design teams for various manufacturers. I love ribbon, patterned papers, gems, glitter and buttons. I also love texture and adding dimension to my projects. I enjoy baking in my spare time, and love spending weekends with my family. I love to create cards, altered art, sometimes digital projects, and scrapbook layouts. I am so excited to be a part of gcd studios!

MY PHONE CALL!!!

Oh my gosh- when Heidi called me my throat constricted, but I was able to gasp out- hello?
When she told me that I was the third person she'd called, I was soo excited!
repeat that- sooooo excited!! I think I stuttered a few words, then Heidi said something funny
and we both got to laughing: she was cracking up, I was cracking up. Heidi was so sweet,
she has a great laugh! I am just thrilled to be asked to join the gcd studios team as one of
their altered art girls. I cannot wait to get started on the team, and meet the other ladies on the team.
