Father's Week: A Masculine Shirt Card

Tracy Schultz GCD June Man's shirt

This is a fun week here on the blog because we're celebrating fathers, husbands, and all the wonderful men in our lives. I have two little cards to share with you today that would be perfect to give to any guy in your life! I'm sure you have all seen the folded shirts floating around the internet, but they are perfect for your special guy. You can pick paper patterns to suit your man, add buttons, or dress the pocket up. You can even add things inside the pocket like handkerchiefs or pens!

I kept this shirt a little more casual- I wanted it to look like something you could wear with jeans, which is so popular with the guys right now. And then I added a little pocket where I stamped my tiny sentiment. [Supplies: Cardstock- PTI dark chocolate; Decorative Paper- GCD Studios Country Charm #1504, #1515, #1509; Stamps- Clear & Simple Stamps Fun Fungi II; Ink- Palette Burnt Umber; Accessories- paper piercer, corner rounder punch, dimensionals, hole punch]

Tracy Schultz GCD June Hi

For my second card, I tunneled my inner office girl for all of those pencil-pushing men we love. Although my background paper isn't notebook paper, I think it still works. I drew in the red line with a simple red pencil and ruler, then punched the notebook edge to finish the look off.

I added pair of scrabble letters and a paper clip on top of my yellow patterned layer to finish this card off. [Supplies: Cardstock- PTI kraft; Decorative Paper- GCD Studios Bonjour #1542, Splendor #1678, #1680; Accessories- paper piercer, dimensionals, corner rounder punch, red pencil, Fiskars notebook edge punch]

  3. I just love your card. I am going to have to sneak out to my studio from
http://roomstogrowusa.web12.hubspot.com/hobbyrooom/, when hubby isn't looking and make one for him. I think I will put a coupon in the pocket for a dinner date.
