Extremely Elaborate

Hi all, i hope you are enjoying and the warmth spring brings. May's themed project will be based on these adorable little Russian nesting dolls. Cute, aren't they ?!



They are so easy to love and the artistry is in the painting of each doll, which can be extremely elaborate. A lot of patterns and colors are used on this layout to mimic the uniqueness of the nesting dolls.



Here, i attempted to make my own Matryoshka doll.
First, i traced and cut an oval shape (for the body) and 3 circles (for the head and hands). Piece them together to form the structure of the doll and accessorise with eyes and hearts.
