Triangle Weeks: Pattern Paper

Happy Father's Day!
Have you enjoyed all the Father's Day themed projects on GCD Studios blog lately? The colors and patterns in Bonjour collection are just perfect for masculine projects. If you'd ask me to name one shape that goes well with the theme, I will say triangle!

Triangle is one of the basic but versatile shapes from which you can make almost anything. A right triangle is probably the easiest to make: I punched several squares from patterned paper and cut them diagonally into triangles. You can create all kinds of shapes and patterns - here is my inspiration.

Triangles are not limited to just masculine projects! I created a chevron with a triangle border die!

Here is how to make a trumpet flower using just triangles: die cut the paper with a triangle border die and then cut along the solid side to make multiple triangles all at once; put them into a circle (backside up) on the table; put some adhesive on a piece of thin scrap and press it onto the circle; turn it over and cut along the edge; bend the petals a little and you are done! Easy Peasy.
