When so much of the focus of our layouts is photos, titles and journaling, it's fun to change it up a bit by using numbers. Numbers lend themselves well to list journaling, so when I created this top ten layout, I made my numbers the stars of the show:
I cut small strips of patterned paper and pieced them together to create my numbers. I could have used a die-cut machine, but this funky paper-piecing compliments my subject - my crazy three year old - perfectly.
I kept the photo small (an instagram), the title small, and only embellished with a tag on the left. Even in its 8.5x11 size, this layout speaks volumes to me without much fuss.
Top ten layouts are fabulous for incorporating journaling. Give one a try, and don't forget to let your numbers shine!
Supplies Used: Peacock, #1646 Flower Child; Flowery, #1641 Flower Child; Layered Geo, #1644 Flower Child; alphas, Lily Bee; mists, Tattered Angels; other - tag.
