Hello there everyone! Today, I'm sharing something I've never shared here before on the blog - a layout.
When I got this assignment, I was both excited and worried. Excited that I was being challenged to scrap some photos from my trip to Europe last May, but also worried that I was going to be scrapbooking! I've only done it twice in my entire papercrafting career, so this was definitely a challenge.
So with much trepidation, I set to work, and after much shuffling around of papers, battling with our printer (the printer won), and debating of photos to be used, I finally came up with this.
I wasn't sure what to do for a title, when I figured I'd go the easy way out and use lyrics from songs (soooo original, I know). This particular photo is from a boat we rode in Venice, so my mind immediately thought of the Band's 'When I Paint My Masterpiece' and the line 'sailin' round the world in a dirty gondola'.
No, I don't think this particular boat qualifies as a gondola, but it was all I could come up with. And that entire line wasn't going to fit anywhere
I die cut the 'dirty' letters from some paper that had been wrapped around a souvenir to add a nice little detail to the page....
Some buttons from Homespun Chic add the perfect final detail...
So tell me, what do you think about my scrapbooking page? I had so much fun with it, and I hope it inspires you to create out of your comfort zone too! :)
