I LOVE making shaped cards

We have such a FUN idea for our themed projects this month....these adorable Nesting Dolls!!

Well, I happen to have a Cricut cartridge (Paisley) that has 4 different Nesting Doll images on it....and I have never used them!! So, I was happy to break out my machine, and combine it with some fabulous GCD product. Here is my first example:

Everything except the cardstock, ribbon and stamps are GCD Studios. The paper is from the Ava collection, and the embellishments are from the Urban Artsy line. Love how well they mixed together!!

For my next example, I decided to make my card in the shape of a Nesting Doll. I LOVE making shaped cards...and I think it turned out so cute!

Everything except the cardstock, stamp and jewels are GCD Studios product, and it is all from the Homespun Chic line. I love how different the two cards look using the same theme.

**Tip on the Shaped Card** My Cricut cartridge didn't have a card shape function for this, so I just cut out the shadow layer of the Nested Doll cut. Then I traced it to folded white cardstock and cut out on my own. Very easy to do!

Until later,
~Lea

  2. Hi Lea,

Don't you just love all the new cartridges from Cricut??? They've got some awesome stuff now, and have you checked out the Cricut cutter for cake decorating?? Wow, where was that when I did cakes for a living 20 years ago?

Your cards are adorable, and I agree, I love making shaped cards, too.

    Hugs,
    Meri
